What is Rashi?
A Rashi is a zodiac sign. In Vedic astrology, your Moon sign (Chandra Rashi) is especially significant.
Rashi means zodiac sign. There are twelve rashis, from Mesha (Aries) to Meena (Pisces), each spanning 30 degrees of the sky.
Moon sign vs Sun sign
Western astrology emphasises the Sun sign, but Vedic astrology gives primary importance to the Chandra Rashi — the sign the Moon occupied at birth. It reflects the mind and emotions and is used for naming, matching and dasha calculations.
